The Annual Scientific Meeting of the Vascular Anaesthesia Society will take place on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th September 2025 in London at The Royal Society of Medicine, 1 Wimpole Street.

We are offering an exciting programme developed by the VASGBI Committee in conjunction with the organisers from London.

Cancellations
Cancellation requests must be made in writing to Jane at jane.heppenstall@vasgbi.com and will be subject to a Stripe administration charge which will be approximately 3.5% of the total amount paid.  Full terms and conditions can be found when registering.

The Vascular Anaesthesia Society is pleased to announce the opening of abstract submission for their 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting which will take place at the Royal Society of Medicine on Monday 15th & Tuesday 16th September 2025.

Have you performed any research or audit, or do you have an interesting case report that you would be interested in presenting? This would be an ideal opportunity for your trainees to get involved. 

Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by a minimum of three reviewers. Those awarded high scores will be chosen for presentation (oral or poster). The highest scoring abstracts will be selected for oral presentation with prizes for the best presentation and the runner up. Shortlisted abstracts will be published in JVSGBI under the condition that if the work leads to a full article, that should also be submitted to JVSGBI.

There will also be a prize of £200 for the best verbal presentation and £100 for the best poster presentation.

The closest train station is Bond Street which is a 5 minute walk to the venue. Marylebone is an approximate 25 minute walk to the venue.

By London Underground

Oxford Circus (Bakerloo, Central and Victoria lines) and Bond Street (Central, Jubilee and Elizabeth lines).

By bus

By bike

There are several points in Cavendish Square where bicycles can be secured to a barrier. Cycle hire docking stations are located nearby on Chapel Place.

Access

The public entrance to the building is located on 1 Wimpole Street. If you are visiting the RSM for a meeting or conference, please use this entrance when you arrive.

There is a dedicated members’ entrance on Henrietta Place. Members can use this entrance to enter the members’ area and Domus Medica hotel.

The RSM is wheelchair accessible. Registered guide and hearing dogs are welcome in the building with their owners.

The VASGBI welcome sponsors and exhibitors at their annual meetings.
