VASGBI - education committee
The education committee meets 3 times each year and is responsible for developing the VASGBI’s educational activities. These include contributing to the organisation of existing and new VASGBI meetings, administration of the travel grant detailed below, and working jointly with the research committee to arrange the free paper session at the Scientific Meeting, and subsequent publication of the abstracts. Current membership of the education committee is Andy Lumb (Chair), Mark Stoneham, Kevin Sadler and Tracey Wall.

TRAVEL GRANTS
Applications are invited for a grant of up to £1000 to be used to fund travel to visit centres of excellence for vascular anaesthesia and surgery in the UK and overseas. Applicants must be current VASGBI members. Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate that such a visit will of benefit to their training in anaesthesia for vascular surgery and should be prepared to give a short resume of his/her experiences to the Society's Annual Meeting held in September each year. Applicants should submit a 1000 word proposal for consideration by the Education Committee by the 31st May 2010. For further details please contact:
