The audit sub-group was formed to promote audit in vascular anaesthesia.
We are currently running an audit project regarding patients with coronary stents undergoing vascular surgery. Details are on the audit website.
What is a vascular anaesthetist? in 2009, Martin Price sednt out a survey to members of the VASGBI to try to answer this question and, in addition, find out how pre-operative asessment clinics are working for vascular patients. The survey results can be viewed on the audit website.
In early 1999 the society was able to provide financial support for a national audit of anaesthesia for elective aortic surgery. The audit has been published in the British Journal of Surgery:
